One of the best parts about living at an Altus crash pad is the different events you can attend throughout the year.   One fun event, called the 21st Annual Rock-N-Rumble Car Show and Cruise, is only 10 minutes from Aviator’s Landing.  It’s on May 3rd and 4th.

If you’ve never been to a car show before, you may not know exactly what happens. What do you do at a car show? Do people just stand around looking at cars?  Why go to a car show?

First, it is a family-friendly event.  It is a mini-Heaven for little kids who love matchbox cars and Hot Wheels.  Second, it’s a great place to learn about different types of cars. You can talk to people who work on engines or who have installed souped-up engines in their vehicles.  Third, if you are thinking about buying a classic car, this is the best place to ask questions about cost, repairs, insurance, etc.

This year, Main Street Altus will have about 215 cars on display plus motorcycles.  It’s an outside event, so make sure you bring some bottled water, sunscreen, and a snack.   Comfortable clothing and shoes make it easier to get in and out of different cars.  Finally, bring your camera.   You never know when you’ll spot “the one” car you’ve always dreamed about!

It helps to be prepared when you go to car show.  Below is the schedule of events.
